Few games compare to Doom on the computer. Not only did it revolutionize the way first-person shooters were viewed, it also set the stage for all the great games to compare to. Much like with the modern game, Halo. To harness that revolution on the calculator, that Doom aura, you, my friend, should get zDoom.
Not only is it a true apprentice to the original game, it also makes me want to give the programmer a big pat on the back for the magnificent job. Even if there is only one enemy type, the fact that it actually looks like a Doom monster nearly sent me flying to the back of my geo class!
Graphics- 8 out of 10
I would have given it a 9 out of 10, had it not been for the pillars that I would waste 20 rounds on, thinking it was a big mean Doom thing.
Speed- 9 out of 10
Let me shoot my pistol more than once per 5 seconds when confronted with a monster. Other than that little snag, excellent.
Special (Creepy Factor)- 10 out of 10
If you suddenly are walking along and you start to see very brief flashes of white across your screen, and you turn around to face off with 2 goulies with only a pistol, you have done the best any calculator programmer could do for scary.
Overall- 9 out of 10
A little room for adding a monster or two, other than that, my hat is off to you. Download ASAP.
