Attention span: 8/10 Can be very addicting! Controls: 7/10 Could be easier to quit. Implementation: 9/10 Doesn't take a long time to load. Overall: 8/10 Great program. A must download.
As the description says, this is a Nibbles-type game where you can travel in no less that 32 directions. Uncle Worm is a very addicting game made for ION. The object of the game is to hit the circles. When you do this you grow in size as well as gain points. The game features three different levels or speeds (slow, medium and fast). The game also has a high score feature for each speed. The tricky part, besides your worm growing, is that the circles always vary and change in size.
The controls are very simple. You just use the up and down to select your speed. You then press 2nd to start. That's it! In the game you use the left and right arrows to control the worm. And you use MODE to pause and 2nd to unpause. To quit, you press CLEAR, it shows you your score and your high score, you then press 2nd to get back to the main menu. Finally, you press CLEAR to fully exit the program. This is a must have for any Nibbles lover. |

Uncle Worm is a snake like game, except instead of controlling a snake from left to right to up and down, you are a worm. Yes, a worm. Your goal is to eat as many apples by directing the worm 360 degrees around the course. As you exit through each square, you will find that it closes in on you. This just adds to the skill required to eat those apples. Since Uncle Worm is written in ASM, it is very fast, but you have the option to select a speed. The graphics are minimal, but enough to get the gist of the game. I think that it is the best snake game for the 83+ to date. |
