Overall: 7/10 Not everybody's type of game.

A Puzzle v1.0 by Philippe Gervaise a.k.a. CandyMan is a Japanese game originally made for the SNES. It was named A Puzzle because the author can't read japanese. The game has two modes: action and puzzle. You control a cursor two blocks wide, and when you hit 2nd, the two blocks are switched. If 3 or more of the same type of block are in a row vertically or horizontally, they disappear and the rest fall down.

In action mode, you start with a screen with some blocks in it. After a delay, more blocks get added at the bottom. You have to keep up with the added blocks, because once they go off the top of the screen, you lose.

I'm sure this was just an accident by a last-minute change, but it appears (from my experience, anyway) that you can't play in puzzle mode. From the title screen, you can choose either action or puzzle, but if you hit enter on puzzle, it doesn't do anything. Hopefully, the next version will fix this.

This is a very strange game. It takes time to get used to how gameplay goes. This game is not for everyone, but if you're tired of ports, then this will definitely be a good choice.
