Gameplay- Very fast and exciting races and many modes of play to choose from and multiple exciting tracks beg this game to be played. 10/10
Memory- The tracks do take up a significant amount of memory but its okay for now. 9/10
Creativity- Very creative gameplay and beautifully designed tracks. 10/10
File- Well organized folder along with detailed readme and screenshots. 10/10
Graphics- Very beautiful! Runs really smoothly and causes no problems. 10/10
Controls- At the beginning the controls take some getting used to. But after some time they begin to add up to the experience this game brings. 9/10
Overall- the best racing game i've ever played. I still can't win the race but i'll keep practicing!
Suggestions:
- Maybe a selection of cars?
- Names overhead the cars cause I want to see who bumped me into a wall and I do want revenge on them!
Well that's my review. I gotta aim for that Nascar trophy! |

Tiny CarZ has to be the best TI-83+ game out there. The graphics are well done, the CPU's can be quite challenging, and it comes with a level editor. The controls are simple, and there's no bugs. So If you have a TI-83+, you better try the game at least once and I guarantee you won't delete it anytime soon. The game also runs fast and smooth, and goes just as fast in linkplay.
Graphics: 9/10 (Superb)
Gameplay: 10/10 (Beating my friend in a few races never gets old)
Controls: 10/10
Difficulty: 9/10 (The AI's are quite challenging)
You won't regret downloading this game. |

Tiny CarZ is one of the best TI-83+ racing games. It is one of the few with an AI.
Fun Factor: 9/10
Super Fun!! A little hard for beginners, though.
Size: 10/10
You can even play with the levels archived.
Speed: 10/10
Runs very smoothly.
Graphics: 10/10
Amazing (too bad it's not grayscale).
Replay Value: 9/10
You can even make your own levels! Beginners might give up on the harder levels.
Bugs: 9/10
None. I don't know how to use link play.
Average: 9.6/10
Download NOW!
My only suggestion is that the skill of the AI should be adjustable. |

I have been watching games on ticalc.org for 4 years now. This is my first review. Why? This is the best game ever made on the TI-83 Plus. It is fast, has easy controls, a great AI, easy menus and as far as I could play, I haven't found a single bug. If you haven't downloaded this yet, get some free memory on your calc (it is an enormous game) and you'll find out how fun math classes can be.
Controls: 10/10 Speed: 11/10 (I didn't know this much speed was possible) Gameplay: 10/10 (addictive, refreshing, and you can even make your own tracks!) AI: 9.99/10 (very intelligent opponents) Graphics: 10/10 (cool, clean graphics)
Overall 10.5/10 (because this is the best game made yet)
But I hate giving positive reviews, so a few remarks for the author.
-Could you implement a high score list, please?
-Make it possible to archive other maps while you're in the championship; now most people can't finish the championship due to the lack of RAM.
I recommend this game to everyone who has bought a TI-83 Plus. I recommend the TI-83 Plus to everyone so they can start playing this game. |

I have a few complaints for this otherwise good game. The first complaint has to do with the graphical interface. When selecting the level in the beginning, it is not obvious enough what buttons you have to press. Several kids in my school have been baffled by the level selection screen. My second issue is the name of the game. I think it should have been called "Sticky Car" because the car seems to have the tendency to "stick" to the walls. This, added to the poor handling, makes it very aggravating. Other than that, I believe the game is a worthy download, you figure out the controls real quickly, and after a while, the stickiness of the car doesn't hinder your gameplay as you become better.
Overall: 8/10 (Could use some work in the handling and collision). |

Having played MegaCar, I wanted to test this racing game out, and I wasn't disappointed!
Gameplay: Really, really fast, truly a racing game! You almost forget you are playing on a TI-83+! This quickness has its drawbacks, however. The car goes so fast that you have to know the track to avoid running into a wall, but that wouldn't disappoint anyone! The controls are easy to learn and use.
User-friendliness: I liked the fact that you can archive/unarchive the track files, so that you don't have to go to your memory every time you wanted to choose another track. The program interface is easy to understand; it's nice to see the track before you race.
Graphics: Some great work has been done here. Very nice graphics for a monochrome calculator! Too bad you are racing too quickly to take a view at the nice scenery all around you on the tracks.
Options & Functions: Tiny car has simple high score saving, but alas, you cannot save your initials. There is big fun seeing your car race the track again, while bashing into that bend you couldn't take...but making your quickest lap ever!
Scores: Gameplay: 9.5/10 User-friendliness: 10/10 Graphics: 10/10 Options: 9/10 Overall: 9.6/10. Great program, a must download! |

Tiny car is a very cool game with awesome graphics. This is probably the best bird's eye view racing game for the 83+ yet, if not the best racing game overall. All the graphics (the car, road, grass, plants, walls, road blocks) are extremely well designed and actually look like what they are supposed to be! My only complaints are that there is no level editor, the turning is a little slow (making it hard to do hair-pin turns), and this is only for MirageOS (not Ion). Other than that, awesome game man! A definite must-have 83+ game that won't leave my calc for a long time!
10/10 Please make a level editor!! That would rule! |
