Attention span: 9/10 You can beat the AI a couple dozen times before you get bored. Controls: 10/10 Up and Down, simple Implementation: 9/10 Nice options and good AI. Link play would have been nice. Overall: 9/10 The best Pong on the 82!
Everybody knows Pong it famous for being one of the first video games ever. The gameplay can be described as 2-d tennis. There are two paddles and one or two balls. The ball(s)bounces back and forth across the screen. If the ball hits the wall, you lose a point. If the ball hits the paddle, no points are added to your total and the ball bounces toward the other paddle at a faster or slower rate(depending on paddle-ball angle). When you reach 21 points you lose.
I think this is one of the best if not the best Pong game on any calculator. I like the fact that there are 3 speeds and 1-2 balls option. I don't like how you aren't allowed to select the point total to which you are playing. 21 point games can get very long and tedious against the pretty intelligent calc AI(another plus!). Another thing that would have been cool would be link play, but I guess you can't have everything. At ~2000 bytes this is a must have for your graphing calculator. |
