This game is allright. For me, Chopper is a bit too similar to the "Helicopter" game going around on the internet, but the graphics were good for what it was - a simple tunnel game on a calculator.
Something that could make the game better is to make the tunnel a little wider and have vertical obstacles. Then it would be a little more of a precision game. But as the other reviewers said, it does get a bit tedious and repetitive. I've gotten to the point where I just don't die.
In the whole scheme of things, it is a good game, worth a 7 out of 10. |

I would like to congratulate the creator of Chopper for making an okay game. I think that he could have done a better job considering how old the playing gets so quickly. I played it for about an hour and a half before I just decided to delete it from sheer bordem. But if you have a boring bus ride to school and your Gameboy just happens to have no battery power left, I would recommend downloading this for a quick spin. But if you want straight answers, this is how I would score this out of a 10. -------- Graphics: 7/10 -------- I like how the chopper blades spin as you move, but the flying obstacles could have been made a little bit more realistic. -------- Enjoyment:7/10 -------- This game is good for trash talking to your friends about how you can beat their high score, but after a while you might realize that it's just impossible to get any better. -------- Originality:9/10 -------- I admit that I would have never come up with the idea for a helicopter with actual spinning blades and realistic weight physics, but I feel that the whole "flying through a tunnel" scheme has been used way too much. -------- Memory: 10/10 -------- You get the whole package without an astronomical amount of memory space being used up. -------- Overall rating:9/10 --------
Chopper is a good game, but not one that you'll probably keep in your memory bank for too long. |

Well, what is there to say about this game? It's a side-scrolling tunnel-like game. Although the are an overabundance of these tunnel games, this one still manages to be enjoyable. Here's the breakdown:
Graphics: 6/10
It's a tunnel game, how good of graphics can it have? The title screen is nicely drawn and the in-game graphics like the chopper itself has some descent animation, but that's about all there is to look at. Bottom line: As good as a tunnel game could be.
Controls: 8/10
Very responsive. When you press a button, the game does some right away. Nothing more to say, because there is basically no menu (besides the speed and difficulty prompt). Bottom line: Very responsive controls.
Attention Span: 4/10
Although it is very good for a tunnel game, it is still a tunnel game. I had fun with it for an hour or two, but it became boring fast. Time-Til-Boredom: 2+ hours
Overall: 6/10
Descent game, good graphics where there needs to be, fast paced and slow paced (whatever you want), small attention span. If you are a fan of tunnel games, get this. If not, don't. |
