Great game

Started first time, no worries in MirageOs on my Ti-84+

For anyone who wants a great game in 3-D, this is a great choice!

Gameplay - 9/10

Easy to start off, reminiscent of DOS-esque Doom games in movement and style. Not much to complain about, but enemies seem to blend into the walls occasionally.

Graphics - 10/10

First class graphics, at least for a calculator that is!

Reasonably smooth, may be irritating for some people but you quickly get used to it.

Ease of use - 10/10

Opened without a fuss, controls are well laid out and are easy to use. Reference of the manual was necessary, but i do that anyway with all games

Depth - N/A

Havent gone too far in, so not much to say here

Overall score - 10/10

Unlike some other games, which tend to be fussy, require tedious installations of software and other ancillaries, Gemini does a fine job of keeping everything simple and provides an excellent game to amuse the entire row of students in any maths class!

This game was excellent! “Gemini” is a near perfect 3D first person shooter, and I can only rag on a few things.

Gameplay: 8/10 The controls are easy and responsive, the many guns are cool too, but the aiming is tough. You'll find yourself running into the enemy just to shoot; the enemies’ great AI also contributes to the difficulty.

Graphics: 9/10 The beautiful wall textures and great enemy animations are a major game complement, but the enemies and Items can really be hard to differentiate from the walls at times.

Controls: 10/10 Easy, fast, and responsive. Great controls.

Bug freeness: 10/10 No bugs at all

If you have the memory and the time you should try this game. I'm definitely hooked.

"Gemini" is quite possibly the greatest game ever for the TI-83+. The only downside is its lack of customizeability, such as could be found in other games of this nature.

Graphics: 10/10. As high a frame rate as “DOOM”, and much better wall textures. Also, the game has different kinds of enemies and guns, and keeps track of separate images for all of them.

Gameplay: 9.5/10. This game is very confusing, starting at about the third level. Before that, it's relatively easy to keep track of where you've been. Five kinds of weapons to have (including a knife) keeps you interested in slaughtering the aliens with phasers.

Originality: 9/10. “Gemini” has better gameplay than all other shooters I've played. Almost top marks.

Requirements: 9/10. Unfortunately, this game takes up 23.8K of your memory and only runs through MirageOS. Fortunately, it's worth every byte of that. It works best on an SE or 84+, where you can archive it easily, while Mirage archives and unarchives it automatically when you play. This means that you'll have to archive everything else, though.

Overall: 9.375/10. An all-around good game, you'll be playing long after the sun sets. Get a flashlight before you play... you're going to get addicted.

“Gemini” is an excellent game for your TI-83+ (SE) and your TI-84+ (SE). First, the fact that it is a first-person shooter makes it a good game from scratch. My computer with its Intel Celeron processor is too slow to play any good computer first-person shooter games such as “Farcry,” so I just jump right to my calculator to play “Gemini.”

Graphics: 10/10--It's 3D and very realistic. It also has a high frame rate.

Difficulty: 9/10--Unfortunately, this game is VERY difficult. You go through this maze of rooms, and you probably will get lost. But if you are patient, you'll get to learn the layout of the rooms fast enough.

Replayability: 10/10--This game is totally replayable. You can replay “Gemini” several different ways, since there are multiple difficulty levels.

Size: Unfortunately, “Gemini” is quite large. I recommend you archive all programs and each appvar that can be archived. (Some applications don't function correctly when their appvar is in the archive, so pay attention.). In addition, you should delete all variables--who needs them anyways? (I'm supposing that you've finished all your math and science homework before playing any calculator games).

Complexity: 10/10—“Gemini” is very complex. You get five weapons, ranging from the default one, a knife, to the plasma gun. As I've said, the room system is very complex, though sometimes it is overwhelming.

Overall: 9.75/10--Download this game and play it right now!

This game is a great-looking alternative to “Wolfenstein,” but little else. The file size is much reduced and all the levels are in the main program, rather than in level packs. The graphics are much better, with more realistic-looking enemies and a raycasting engine that seems to actually work. The gun system is pretty cool, with multiple guns that fire at different rates, have different power levels, and amounts of ammo.

However, the game itself is lacking. The idea of finding a locked door, then going through a massive maze to find the key and trying to find your way back is original enough, but the mazes are way to big and it becomes more irritating than fun. When you beat a level, you feel more relieved than happy, demonstrating the toughness of this game.

I definitely recommend this game, if only to see what the TI-83 can do. Beyond that, good luck.

This is a very intense game. Even with the lack of creative textures, the graphics are very crisp and well done. Even the plot (which I had to look around for some while) is well done. It has everything you would expect from a FPS game that you would buy from the store: multiple enemies, several guns and a knife, hidden doors, and armour. The only thing I can think of that it doesn’t have is multiplayer.

Overall: 10/10
The author did a great job. I hope he will make more raycasting games!

Gemini is one of the best games I have played so far. Its realistic 3D engine and multiple levels are amazing. Also the graphics are among THE best I've ever seen. Some people think that it would take up alot of memory. But if you archive it and play it through MirageOS, it only take up like 384 RAM. If your the person who only owns a TI Calculator to play games, than Gemini is a MUST. I suggest downloading it if you haven't yet.

Gemini is an excellent game for the TI-83+ and TI-83+ SE. Although this game takes up much memory, it is a must-download for TI-83+ and TI-83+ gamers. Gemini has an exceptionally good 3D-engine, and it is one of the most addicting games. Similar to DOOM and Wolfenstine 3D, Gemini has weapons, enemies, secrets, etc. The only difference between Gemini and DOOM or Wolfenstine 3D is that this game is much more difficult, which makes it much more addicting. The graphics are also very superb. If you haven't tried playing Gemini, then I suggest you download it.

Rating: 3.8/5
