Slight problem: It's possible to put QWERTY into a state where it powers off the calculator immediately after it turns on. (I am using a ti-nspire in emulation mode, so this may be a problem with the emulator.) I have not found a way to fix this. |

This is an absolutely revolutionary text editor. The whole sideways concept is mind-blowing. I haven't explored the converter for PC, but I know the app and program of QWERTY is reliable. As others have said, it cannot access archived files, but you get used to it. Another problem is it's steep 'learning curve' if you will. Once you get used to the format by checking the README (and know how to type on a computer), you will find this has the most efficient and quickest editor out there. I use it to take notes, keep a diary, and just write random stuff! This really helps with many aspects of my life. Half the time you can see me clicking away, you should be too! Download this now! |

This program is by far one of the most useful programs available for the TI-84 SE. After getting used to the feel of typing on a much smaller keyboard, I found that I could type almost as fast as on a standard computer keyboard. The font is a bit big, being the default font, but not much can be done to correct that. It's great for taking notes, and I even use it on occasion to start an English project. The only real downside is that you can't access archived files, but I can live with taking the extra ten seconds to un-archive a file before opening it. I strongly recommend writing the letters on your faceplate, at least until you get used to it, as your calculator is NOT your laptop. I highly recommend this program to everyone, especially high school students. |

A QWERTY keyboard for your TI: Although I found it a little awkward just starting out, I'm sure I'll get used to it. If you're thumbs are long enough, I suggest you use it like you would a BlackBerry by grasping the calculator between the base of the thumb and the index finger, and then use the tips of your thumbs to type. Unfortunately, most people's hands aren't big enough for this, and the entire top row is inaccessible because of it. The only other option I've discovered is to lay it flat on a table and to touch type like you normally would. This has its own problems, but I have found it to be more comfortable and easier to use this way.
One small bug to mention: when I quit the program for the first time, Ion ceased to recognize it. This hasn't happened since, though. |

This is probably the best word processor I've found for my 83+ SE. While it does take some getting used to, I found that a could write the appropriate letters above each key on my calculator with a Sharpy (this will only work on SE since the 83+ is black), and enabling me to hunt and peck far more quickly. It is also great because it is a synch to download text to your computer or vise versa. The only disadvantage I've found is that you can only write on un-archived files, which is a nuisance and can result in cleared RAM. Also you can't see much text at a time on the screen since it uses the default font size.
