The game itself was interesting. You are only allowed to shoot one bullet at a time that can be on screen. At first, the enemies were exceptionally easy to destroy.. untill they started firing the heat seaking missles at you. Definitely requires some strategies when playing this game.

Alien Invasion is an excellent game in many ways. First of all, I like the tactical shooting because you can only shoot one missile at a time. Second of all, there is a variety of extra weapons you can get. Third of all, the graphics and the enemy movement are superior. Besides, it is rather addictive, and inspiring. However, there are a few negative aspects. First of all, this game would be outstanding if there were more levels, maybe fifteen, twenty, or more. Second of all, this version has an error with the menu not showing up correctly after the introduction text. Third of all, playing this game messes up the clock on AMS 2.08 and above systems (the clock stops counting during game play due to the complete disabling of all interrupts).
Don't take my negative comments too seriously. This game's rating scored well into green, and I agree with the rating. If the author acted on what I mentioned above as my negative comments, Alien Invasion would probably make it into the top rating/download lists. |

This game is very good, if you are into it. People who are very used to Phoenix/Allecto may find it somewhat frustrating because you can shoot only one missile at a time, but if you liked Atari Galaxian, this may be what you are looking for. |
