Gameplay- One the most fastest shooting games I've ever seen! 10/10
Memory- Don't be fooled by the size you see for the program. Most of the file is the coding. The actual game is very small and is a perfect size for this kind of game.
Creativity- I wouldn't say that this is anything new. This reminds me of another game where you shoot rows of ships. 4/10
File- Very organized asm with a very detailed readme. 10/10
Graphics- very fast background with option to change it. 10/10
Controls- very user friendly and easy to pick up. 10/10
Overall- Insane speed, new enemies, big shop selection, and size make this the perfect shooting game around! 10/10
Suggestions
- Upgrade speed of ship in shop?
- Feels like this needs a storyline, perhaps?
- Maybe some boss fights.
Well that's my review. FIRE TURBOLAZERS NOW!! |

Phoenix has been a classic calculator game since-long before i got into the calculators. Many other versions have come out, but sill the classic Phoenix prevails most heavily.
A few options and preferences have been changed, making this game worth the upgrade and a few minutes of your time to send it to your calculator. But its one flaw- how little money you gain- is still inherent. I understand much of this is for difficulty, simulating a Contra-like experience, where it an accomplishment to go through the whole game successfully. However, to improve it, an option should be made that you can have more, less, or the suggested amount of money drop per level. OR better yet, have an option to restore your life for free at the end of a level, thus conserving what little money you get in a level.
Some of this may just be for the poor gamer who doesn't do to well with this type of game, but in the end, you will indeed have a larger audience!
Speed: 10/10 Excellent speed!
Gameplay: 9/10 Very basic concept, but fun nonetheless.
Replay: 10/10 Highscores and an arcade system makes it worth it.
Graphics: 8/10 Nothing spectacular, but they work well.
Resources: 7/10 Small space for a small game.
Overall: 6/10 No single area of this game has an error, except the disability to get enough money, completely ruining it. |

This is probably one of the most played games ever in my math class. Prepare to never pay attention in class again. However, after playing these games for a really long time, maybe more weapons, ships etc.. like on the 89 version? Just a suggestion though.
Phoenix gets a ......10/10! |

Wow. Phoenix 4.0 is amazing! I love the scrolling, and the score counter is very good. The size is still pretty small, which is nice, but there's no level editor. That's annoying, as I cannot code ASM. But, the speed is great, and It's a classic.
Gameplay 9/10
A bit basic, but still fun. Try some new weapons next time around.
Graphics 9/10
Great Frame rate, but no really fancy features.
Fun 8/10
A bit boring, just dodging in and out.
Other 6/10
source code is provided, but level editing is hard and tedious.
32/40 80% B-
A good game, but improvements are still needed, such as a level editor, and a new gameplay innovation that will really make these levels more exciting and fun. |

The gameplay in "Phoenix 3.3" is sweet, the graphics rock, but the one downfall of the game is the availibility of money. I would like in future versions for the score to be added up from each level, so you don't nessecarly have to beat the game to score points, but if you do so, in addition to the points you get for killing enemies and bosses, there should still be massive bonuses for completing the game (like the current version at the end of the game.) I have not beat this version yet.
Overall I give the game a 9/10. |

In two words: download now!
Phoenix 3.2 is the greatest arcade game ever made. I got it and loved it so much that I gave it to my friends. Even after you beat the built in level, you can download more levels off the net, or play the first again (extremely high replay value). Graphics are superb and very fast. This game beats all the other clones and imitations hands down.
Overall I gave it a 9.5/10. |

Phoenix 3.2 is one of the best games I have ever played on the TI-83+. The graphics are interesting, the game isn't too hard or easy, and the speed that it runs at is superb.
The only downside is that the weapon names aren't the most creative I've seen (Weapon1, Weapon2, ..., Weapon5). Long story short, download this game and start shooting those alien things! |

Phoenix is definitely one of my favorite TI-83+ games. It runs at a great speed, it has an interesting feature absent from the other TI arcade shooters I've played (the shop screen, where you can buy weapon upgrades and recharge your shields), it looks nice, and most importantly, it's fun to play!
Graphics: Very good. Addictiveness: High. Lastability: High. Stability: Very good, no problems as far as I know. Speed/Framerate: Very good (I have a TI-83+ SE, but I usually play it on the slower of the two settings). Gameplay: Excellent. Overall score: 9.25/10
Last word: Get this game! Even if (like me) you don't consider yourself an old-school-arcade-shooter fan, I reckon you'll enjoy Phoenix. |

Phoenix is absolutely the best game available to the TI-83+. The controls are very easy to use, the graphics are supreme, and it is very addictive. And if it ever does get boring, you can download level packs to play ( or make your own ). I give Phoenix 10/10. |
