This is the best game for the TI-85 I have ever played, I have it on my 86, and love it, the only downside is speed, but it is still faster than BASIC games, and is still fun to play. The graphics are beautiful, the textures are rich, and the grayscale is incredible! And there is unlimited replay value because of the easy-to-use level editor.
Graphics: 10/10 Speed: 6/10 Replay value: 10/10 Fun: 10/10 Overall: 9/10 Conclusion: Download! |

Attention span: 2/10 It just didn't grab me Controls: 10/10 They were fine. Implementation: 10/10 Good implementation, good idea, bad choice of platform. Overall: 4/10 Not one of the games I'd keep permanently. You're not missing much.
Daedalus is a game that is mostly like Wolfenstein 3-D on the PC. It is also the game that inspired Maze-3D for the 86. It takes up the entire memory, but it offers many different levels for a game of it's size.
I found that Daedalus runs very slowly compared to, say, some of the newer games such as Vertigo. This is understandable, but it takes away from the game. Also, it is too hard to hit the enemies, as they don't seem to do anything if they've been wounded but not killed. Daedalus is a good game, but has many problems, the gravest of which is speed. |
